2019 Bridal Trends: Esposa Privé Reveals Sneak Peeks
- April 17, 2018
The 2019 bridal trends for this Spring and Summer have been just disclosed in New York at the annual Bridal Fashion Week. Like every year, Esposa Privé joins a select audience of buyers to witness the creations of the world’s biggest bridal designers and put together its SS19 collection. Straight from New York, Esposa Privé’s bridal consultants offer us a foretaste of this year’s trends and what the brides of 2019 should except in stores this coming September.
Starting with this year’s highlights, what seems to be eye-striking is the deep plunge neckline cut common to all designers, and which comes this year with a distinguished touch of elegance. Although widely used in bridal wear, deep-plunge bodices showcase a fluctuating movement punctuated by graceful lace work, especially dominant in Ines di Santo, Monique L’huillier, and Marchesa’s collections.
The long illusion sleeves seem recurrent in many collections, marking the timeless cachet of traditional elegance, and joined in by the ball gown, the cathedral train, and the volumes of lace-embroidered skirts. These trends prevail mostly in the Marchesa, Ines di Santo and Monique L’huillier collections, while the classic floral pattern seems to remain the favorite bridal motif of all. Whether mainly adorning the skirt of the dresses like in Carolina Herrera’s creations, or the whole dress, flowers are married with leaves in a more emphasized way this year, creating the illusion of entwining vines.
Romance reenacts in Lazaro’s collection through the designer’s incomparable signature of elegance, celebrating timeless beauty and craftsmanship through gorgeous lace work and luxurious fabrics.
The simple bride is not left behind in the SS19 trends, notably celebrated in Viktor&Rolf’s creations, where plain white rejoices on silk crepe column gowns are decorated with a subtle touch of flowers.
Daring accessories and designs find a way to distinguish even more the collections, like the glorious back bow of Monique L’huillier, the signature belt of Carolina Herrera, or even the audacious and unconventional headpieces of Marchesa!
Simple or intricately beaded, the SS19 dresses exude a sense of lightness that gives them a particularly pleasant floating feel this year. They pay homage to the romantic bride through airy or structured gowns that flatter the feminine silhouette. The latest creations of Lazaro, Monique L’huillier, Marchesa, Ines di Santo, Carolina Herrera, and more will be found exclusively at Esposa Privé starting September. Keep an eye on our stores in Lebanon and Dubai!
