I'm well award of what you might be thinking: aren't we too old for a baking contest? Well, not really! Christmas activities are the reason why we get that nostalgic feeling. It's the time we spend the most with our families. So being away from your family home for the first time on this occasion can be a little discouraging for you. That's why, instead of reminiscing on the good old days, recreate them!
4- Be conscience of how to divide your time!
The first holiday after you get married can be challenging and confusing given the fact that now you have to abide by two families! It can get kind of dramatic specially if you'll have to let go of some family traditions that you're used to. With that being said, it's very important to divide your time wisely between the two families. You can either choose to spend Christmas night with your family and Christmas day with his, or vice versa.
5- Spend time together!
Even though the best memories are made with the family, it's a good idea to spend sometime doing activities as a couple. Some of the top ideas can be as extravagant as planning a trip for a few days, or as simple as staying in and watching cheesy Christmas movies! When it comes to creating your own memories, you don't need to go all out, what matters is the time you spend and enjoy with the company of one another. Plan a small Christmas dinner and put on "Home Alone" and just relax and enjoy your night.
