Christmas gifts don’t necessarily have to fit under a tree. The best ones probably don’t. Christmas is all about sharing the warmth and blessings of this time of the year with people who need it the most; that’s when the true meaning of the season is felt in our hearts. That’s at least what Esposa believes in and preaches through its corporate social responsibility endeavors, which were centered, in the month of December, around celebrating love and the season of giving in simple deeds.
Ending the year on a high note, Esposa team contributed to a Christmas lunch event at Beit el Diafi, the Lebanese non-profit organization that’s been assisting poor people, particularly the elder, for the last 22 years. One of Beit el Diafi’s missions is to provide free food for poor people that reside at the Beit and in the region of Jounieh four times a week, through its kitchen in Jounieh. That’s where Esposa’s team members spent a joyful afternoon with 150 elderly after having lunch with them. In a festive atmosphere that included a live singer and Christmas hats and decoration, Esposa representatives danced and sang with the elderly on Christmas songs, sharing cheerful times and beautiful emotions with happy faces.
Putting a smile on the faces of these people was the most fulfilling act of giving that counted this Christmas for Esposa members. It was a reminder that a little act of kindness can go a long way for people who need it around us, and that by doing more of these acts, the world can certainly become a better place.
