Mina Al Sheikhly Said Yes in Her Mother’s Dress!

Mina Al Sheikhly is an Iraqi/Emirati social media star who gained popularity on Instagram, especially for being the host of MBC Iraq "Beit Beauty" show. She established her own brand called "By Mina Al Sheikhly" in 2020, a mascara line, produced and package in Italy. The Iraqi beauty stole the show though on her wedding day in  a unique wedding dress, restyled by Kristie Romanos!

A touching story behind the dress she wore, as she chose to wear her mother's gown, adding her personal touch to it. A dress worn over 33 years ago, by her mother on her wedding day. A stunning vintage wedding gown with floral beading all over in different colors. The silk gown previously had long sleeves, giving it a romantic look and is fully embroidered and beaded with different sizes and colors of beads and crystals. Her mother revealed that while designing her dress, she always envisioned her future daughter wearing it. Her dream was fulfilled with Mina, as she revamped it and added her personal modern taste to it.

The Restyling

The beautiful beading on the dress was preserved to give it that vintage look. The creative director Kristie Romanos changed the neckline by removing the long sleeves and giving it an off-the-shoulder look. It features an open back, perfectly matching the voluminous over-skirt.

She paired her glamorous look with a long simple veil to keep the focus on the beautiful masterpiece!
