Cannes Film Festival 2023: Red Carpet Looks

An event well awaited by all movie lovers, Cannes Film Festival 2023 is taking place in Cannes, France from 16 to 27 of May. And though the event is dedicated to films, we can't help but get excited for all the red carpet looks. From Hollywood stars to Arab  A-listers, the carpet stunned with different designers and style worth the hype! The annual event is still going strong for another 3 days, but let's dive into my personal top favorite looks for this year!

1- Dua Lipa

Dua Lip is know for her simple and unique sense of style. The Prisoner singer took on the red carpet her boyfriend Romain Gavras in a satin one-shoulder gown by Celine. The sexy gown featured cutouts along the bodice, an open back, and a sultry thigh-high slit. She accessorized with high-heeled sandals and Tiffany & Co. jewels, including a diamond bracelet and drop earrings with yellow gold details. Lipa paired her simple look with a high up-do and long bangs for an overall sophisticated style.

2- Gigi Hadid

The supermodel chose a beige strapless gown by Zac Posen. It's a structures mermaid dress featuring peplum details around the hips and the skirt flares in a subtle mermaid shape. The dress accentuated her hips giving her a perfect hourglass shape! Hadid accessorized her look with Messika jewelry with a set of diamonds, layers of rings and drop earrings.

3- Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell in all her glory made a memorable entrance on the Cannes red carpet. A stunning supermodel moment on the red carpet as she turned heads in a dramatic Valentino number. With high-octane glitz, her stunning red risque number was full with little details.

4- Natalie Portman

Portman stepped on the red carpet in a bejeweled gown by Christian Dior inspired by a museum-worthy masterpiece. She wore a bone-colored strapless gown featuring a voluminous scalloped skirt with layers of blue beading. The Dior number was inspired by the "Junon" dress from the fall/winter collection back in 1950.

5- Sofia Carson

Sofia Carson joined her colleagues on the French red carpet and stole the showing an elaborate red ball gown by Elie Saab. The ball gown has a sweetheart bust, in poppy red, organza crinkled effect. Velvet bow belt accentuating the waist from the ELIE SAAB Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2021 collection.

6- Mona Zaki

The Egyptian actress took on the red carpet at the 76th annual event in a strapless ballgown by Lebanese designer Zuair Murad. It's a voluminous ball gown with a ruched bodice and a billowing skirt, which came in two shades: dusty rose and a deep inky blue.

With the Film Festival still in full bloom, we can expect more unique and extravagant red carpet look! Out of the 6 A-listers, which one was the best dressed?
